Background Information
1991 - KMT Innovation Company established. Development of innovative designs and placement of orders at production facilities.
1992 - full-scale production of high-voltage car-to-car connections for Tver Railway Car Factory OJSC.
1994 - leasing of production facilities in the town of Lomonosov, and setting up the Company's own production.
1995 - development of a prototype model of an aluminum plastic window, selection of materials, study of Western models.
1996 - establishment of Lomonosov Pilot Factory CJSC. Supply of a pilot car set of aluminum plastic windows.
1997 - the interdepartmental commission on aluminum plastic windows approved full-scale supply of windows within the scope of Tver Railway Car Factory. Research and development started to create automatic doors for passenger cars.
1998 - full-scale supply of new generation aluminum plastic windows.
1999 - establishment of KMT Production Company CJSC.
2000 - KMT Production Company CJSC re-registered as KMT Production Company OJSC. Lomonosov Pilot Factory bought out. The Company's quality system certified to the ISO 9001 international standard.
2000 - development of automatic and non-automatic doors for passenger cars started. An Engineering Center established due to growing complexity of design efforts.
2002 - the national industry promotion society awarded KMT Production Company a Gold Medal for product quality, dynamism, and creative development.
2003 - beginning of partnership with Transmashholding CJSC, establishment of KMT Management Company CJSC and KMT Trade House CJSC.
2004 - supply of automatic doors and swivel steps for two Burevestnik-2 trains for Nizhny Novgorod-Moscow service, 28 car sets in all.
2005 - supply of automatic external doors for two Nevsky Express trains for St. Petersburg-Moscow service, 20 car sets in all. A new building constructed to accommodate the welding and assembly workshop (swivel step manufacturing).
2006 - supply of automatic external doors and swivel steps for two Krasnaya Strela trains for St. Petersburg-Moscow service, 40 car sets in all.
Painting and assembly workshop started up (for door leaf assembling and painting).
Up-to-date mechanical production set up on the basis of DAHLIH processing centers and CINCINNATI turning and turning/milling processing centers.
A new project implemented including development and supply of door systems for a city bus (LiAZ-5292, LiAZ-5293).
Development and supply of a pilot car set of single swing doors for a Kolomna Factory locomotive.
2007 - full-scalу production started of new automatic external doors and swivel steps for passenger cars, Models 61-4440 and 61-4447, designed for running speeds of up to 200 km/h.
Supply of new single swing doors for passenger cars, Models 61-4179, 61-4194, 61-4174, designed for running speeds of up to 160 km/h.
Supply of new swing doors for locomotives.
