The thermal insulation material's heat conductivity is 0.3 W/mK. The windows' tempertaure operating range is -50°C to +45°C. Window-leaf design version has a swivel window leaf with a 30-degree opening angle and with the leaf fixed in its opened and closed positions. In its closed position, the leaf is lockable with a triangular key. When the car has an air conditioning system, the leaf-type window locks may be provided with an additional interlock. An "emergency escape" window ensures fast release of the window opening. Depending on the window type used, the window unit is pushed outside of the car (AVSh1) or dropped into a "pocket (AVSh2), arranged between the walls, after its holding rubber seal has been removed. The "emergency escape" window is provided with a mechanism lifting the window unit to facilitate its raising and re-installation after its emergency use.
